Two young men were tragically killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Lucknow's Gosaiganj area on Saturday night. The victims, identified as Reshu, 22, and Manoj, 21, were on their way to a performance when the fatal accident occurred near Nawab Ali Purwa village.
Their motorcycle was reportedly struck by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction, causing both riders to be thrown onto the roadway. Tragically, a second unidentified vehicle subsequently ran over them. Manoj died at the scene, while Reshu succumbed to his injuries at a community health centre.
Both Reshu and Manoj were known as bhangra dhol players. Police have initiated a probe to identify the vehicles involved and are actively seeking CCTV footage from surrounding areas to apprehend the drivers responsible for this incident.
