A devastating fire tore through a residential structure in Goregaon West's Bhagatsingh Nagar in the early hours of Saturday, claiming the lives of three family members. The victims, identified as Harshada Pawaskar, 19, Kushal Pawaskar, 12, and Sanjog Pawaskar, 48, sustained fatal burn injuries.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade received the distress call at approximately 3:06 am. Firefighters arrived promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze, which had spread through electrical wiring and household items. The fire was completely put out by 3:16 am.
Despite rescue efforts, the three individuals trapped inside were declared dead upon arrival at Trauma Care Hospital. While preliminary indications suggest the fire originated from electrical wiring, a thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the precise cause.
