MBBS Student Tragically Killed in Horrific Scooter Crash

A 22-year-old MBBS student from BRD Medical College, Akash Pandey, tragically lost his life late Wednesday evening.
Pandey was riding his scooter on the Mohaddipur-Kauwabagh Overbridge in Gorakhpur when a speeding SUV collided with him. The force of the impact propelled the student approximately 15 metres, tragically lodging him on the overbridge railing.
Eyewitnesses alerted the authorities, who arrived and retrieved Pandey. He was rushed to the district hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The SUV driver, identified as Golden Sahni, a property dealer, fled the scene with his vehicle.
Following an alert, police traced and arrested Sahni within an hour. He has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other relevant sections of the law, with authorities promising strict action.
