An ambulance carrying a patient overturned onto its side during a road traffic collision in Glasgow on the evening of Tuesday, June 16. The incident occurred shortly before 9 PM at the intersection of Balmore Road and Ashgill Road.
The ambulance was en route to the hospital when the collision took place. Fortunately, the patient onboard was subsequently transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by a different ambulance.
Three paramedics sustained injuries as a result of the crash. One student paramedic was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment, while two other staff members were transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
