Odisha Waters Turn Deadly: Four Drown While Bathing

Four people, including three children, drowned in separate incidents in Odisha on Wednesday. In Sundargarh district, three girls drowned while bathing in the Sankh river under Raiboga police limits. The girls, aged between 6 and 9, slipped into deep water and could not be rescued. Their bodies were taken to a primary health centre, then shifted to a community health centre where they were declared deceased.
In Koraput district, a 56-year-old man drowned while bathing in a village pond in Tikarapoda, Dasmantpur block. He reportedly slipped into deep water. Following the incident, his son lodged a complaint with the police. The body was recovered by fire services personnel and local villagers, then sent for postmortem.
