Three flights headed for Varanasi were diverted to Lucknow on Monday due to adverse weather conditions at the destination airport. The diverted aircraft included two IndiGo flights and one Air India Express flight. These flights, which had departed from Bengaluru, all later continued their journeys to Varanasi after the weather improved.
Separately, a flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Pokhara, Nepal, was diverted to Lucknow on Saturday, October 3. This diversion was also attributed to unfavorable weather at the intended destination. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, carrying 149 passengers and six crew members, landed safely in Lucknow and subsequently departed for Kathmandu.
