Tragedy struck Unnao late Saturday when a UPSRTC bus collided with an SUV at the Kali Mitti intersection. The impact of the collision claimed one life and left seven others injured.
The SUV, carrying six passengers including its driver Arun Kumar (25), was struck by a bus originating from Rath depot. Sadly, Kumar succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The remaining occupants of the SUV, along with the bus driver, sustained injuries.
Authorities, including Additional Superintendent of Police Prem Chandra, responded to the incident. The injured were transported to a community health center, with two critically wounded individuals transferred to Unnao district hospital. An investigation is underway to determine the accident's cause, and traffic flow was temporarily affected.
