Mohali Scooter Rider Fatally Hit by Speeding Car

A fatal accident occurred in Mohali on April 21, resulting in the death of Dharminder, a scooter rider. The incident took place around 6:30 am in the Sohana area. Dharminder was on his way to Sector 70 when his scooter was hit by a Swift car near the Singh Shaheedan gurdwara.
The car, allegedly driven at high speed and in a negligent manner, collided with Dharminder's scooter. Family members transported him to a local hospital, but his condition necessitated further transfers to GMCH-32 and eventually PGI.
Authorities have registered a case against the car driver, identified as Yuvraj, a resident of Phase 7, Mohali. The investigation is ongoing under relevant sections of the BNS concerning rash and negligent driving.
