A serious collision on the M54 motorway has claimed the life of a man in his 20s and left another with life-threatening injuries. Emergency services discovered the deceased man inside a black Vauxhall Astra, which had apparently gone into woodland near the roadside. He was confirmed dead at the scene.
Ambulance services had earlier responded to a call at an address in Smethwick, where a male teenager, believed to be involved in the crash, was treated for severe injuries. He was subsequently transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further medical assessment.
