Fog Blamed for Fatal Truck Collision on Jhansi-Kanpur Highway

A dense fog on the Jhansi-Kanpur highway led to a fatal collision, claiming the lives of two laborers returning home from Chennai. The victims, Mohammad Ansar (38) and Mohammad Sabir (41) of Akbarpur, were traveling in a mini truck when it struck a stationary truck.
The accident happened on Saturday night after the men had traveled from Chennai to Jhansi by train and were completing their journey. Both worked as laborers at the goat market in Chaura and had gone to Chennai for work.
Following the crash, both drivers fled the scene. Police, with assistance from villagers, transported the injured to CHC Pukhrayan, where they were pronounced dead. Investigations are ongoing to locate the absconding drivers.
