Authorities identified Josie Huff, 36, from Sullivan County, as the driver who tragically died in a motor vehicle accident on Thursday. The crash took place around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Indiana 246 and South All Street in southeastern Vigo County.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a cargo van was traveling eastbound on Indiana 246. An SUV, driven by Huff, reportedly failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a collision with the van. Huff was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the cargo van was transported to Union Hospital Regional and treated for minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation by the Vigo County Sheriff's Office.
