Two individuals have lost their lives following a two-vehicle collision on a rural road in Dorset. The incident occurred on the B3078 at Knowlton, near Wimborne, where a black Audi A4 and a blue Volkswagen T-Roc collided. The drivers of both vehicles, identified as residents of Poole aged 24 and 57, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services attended the location, and road closures were implemented to facilitate investigation work. There were no passengers in either of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. Sergeant Richard Stroud urged anyone who witnessed the event or has relevant dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward and contact the police to aid their inquiries.
