A tragic road accident on the A47 near King's Lynn has resulted in the death of a man in his 20s. His white Ford Transit van was involved in a collision with a tractor unit and its trailer. The incident occurred on Friday morning, approximately 07:55 GMT.
Emergency services transported the van driver to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with critical injuries. He sadly died from his injuries following his admission. The collision led to significant traffic disruption, with diversions in place and the road remaining closed for over nine hours.
Norfolk Police are actively seeking witnesses to the collision. They particularly appeal for individuals who may have relevant dashcam footage to assist with their ongoing investigation. This incident follows a recent spate of serious crashes in west Norfolk.
Earlier in the week, a man in his 70s died in a collision on the A10 at Downham Market. There was also a five-vehicle collision at Narborough and a fatal incident on the A134 at Stoke Ferry.
