A pedestrian, identified as a man in his 20s, was fatally struck by a car on the A189 dual carriageway in Northumberland. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, just after 01:30 BST, between Burradon Road and the Moor Farm Roundabout.
The white Seat Alhambra involved in the collision stopped at the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital following the crash but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later that same day.
Northumbria Police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident. Sergeant Steven Chappell has appealed to the public for assistance, urging anyone who witnessed the event or was driving in the vicinity at the time to contact them.
