The family claims this ordeal "ruined their family vacation and has caused humiliation, embarrassment, anxiety, discomfort, medical expenses, and loss of clothing and personal items."
The family traveled from Roanoke to Atlanta on March 21, then took a KLM flight to Amsterdam and onward to Belgrade, Serbia. They allege that flight attendants were notified but urged them to remain quiet to avoid causing a disturbance on the plane. The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory damages totaling at least $200,000.
