Family Loses All Belongings in North Hykeham Blaze

A family in North Hykeham is grappling with the devastating loss of all their possessions following a significant house fire on Sunday afternoon. Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to the large domestic incident on Ferrous Way, reporting severe damage that rendered the property unstable and prevented investigators from conducting a full report.

Fortunately, all family members, including a granddaughter, and their cat, Willow, were safely evacuated from the home. While the immediate cause of the fire remains unknown, the damage to the first floor and roof was substantial. The family, who had been renovating the house they'd lived in for a decade, have lost their recently completed en-suite and all their belongings.

Currently residing with relatives, the affected family has found solace in the overwhelming community support. A neighbour initiated a GoFundMe campaign, which has already amassed over £4,500, providing a crucial lifeline and testament to the compassion of their neighbours.
