A family has been torn apart by a tragic accident on the A228 in East Peckham, near Tonbridge, Kent. On the evening of April 1, a tipper truck collided with a pony and trap carrying a family of four.
Francie Connors and their three-year-old daughter, Ka, were killed in the devastating impact. Rita Connors, the mother and wife, was rushed to hospital with critical injuries and has since died, bringing the total fatalities to three.
The white DAF tipper truck was traveling southbound when it struck the pony and trap, which was moving in the same direction. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Kent, was arrested in connection with the crash. He has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
