A terrifying encounter unfolded in Sri Lanka when a three-ton elephant charged a sightseeing minivan. Two members of a Russian tourist family managed to escape the other side of the Suzuki minivan, fearing for their lives.
The elephant eventually retreated as another tourist vehicle approached, sounding its horn, and a warning shot was reportedly fired. Despite significant damage to the rented vehicle, the tourists were able to drive away. One shaken tourist described the event as a moment where they 'almost lost our lives,' adding a new phobia to her collection.
