A man sustained critical injuries following a vehicle collision while riding an electric scooter near the Hustler Casino in Gardena on Saturday night. The incident took place shortly after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue.
Responding officers found the scooter operator lying in the roadway, unconscious but breathing. Paramedics transported the unidentified victim to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for urgent treatment. The driver of the involved vehicle was unharmed and cooperated with the Gardena Police Department's investigation.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the crash. The Gardena Police Department is requesting that anyone with additional information contact Traffic Bureau Investigator J. Zamudio or Sergeant V. Comez.
