A tragic incident unfolded at Dorset's Durdle Door when a 36-year-old woman plunged to her death from a 600ft cliff. The inquest revealed she had asked her father to take her to the location, falsely claiming she had lost her passport.
In the hours before her death, the woman sent messages to her brother, asking him to look after their father and seeking forgiveness. She also admitted she had lied about the lost passport and expressed concern about her phone's contents.
Despite no prior mental health history, the woman had recently experienced olfactory and auditory hallucinations. A mental health assessment was underway, but she did not attend her scheduled follow-up appointment.
