Roula De Miranda-Arce recounted her fear, believing she was going to die. She admitted to horseplay, which led to her precarious situation. Her twin sister, Raizel De Miranda-Arce, and their friend, Makenna Dumlao, acted swiftly, holding onto Roula to stop her from falling.
The resort confirmed the incident and stated that staff quickly stopped the chairlift to unload passengers. Roula De Miranda-Arce was evaluated by ski patrol as a precaution. Both Roula and Raizel De Miranda-Arce emphasized the critical role the chairlift's safety bar played in ensuring Roula's safety.
Despite the frightening experience, the group of friends stated that this incident would not deter them from skiing in the future. They also advised other guests to always lower the safety bar and avoid distracting behavior on lifts.
