A fire, believed to have originated from a cylinder blast, tragically claimed the life of a 64-year-old man in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar on Saturday. The deceased, a tenant who lived alone for five years, was a divorcee and a content creator on YouTube, uploading vlogs.
Police received a call around 3:25 AM regarding a fire and blast in Old Shahpura. Upon controlling the blaze, a severely burnt body was discovered inside the premises. Preliminary reports suggest the fire started from a cylinder explosion. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
Witnesses described hearing a loud blast, with one neighbor recalling the event felt like an earthquake. Another resident mentioned hearing a second blast and noted the deceased had apparently stated online that no one was responsible for his death. A forensics team inspected the scene, and further investigation is ongoing.
