A Dayton business suffered extensive damage early on Saturday, April 5, 2026, when a U-Haul truck repeatedly collided with its storefront. Responding officers and medics were dispatched to the 1300 block of Patterson Road around 6:40 a.m. following reports of the crash. Upon arrival, significant damage was evident at the front door of the Dayton Mart.
Security camera footage obtained by News Center 7 clearly shows the U-Haul striking the market multiple times. Following the incident, contractors were observed working to temporarily secure the damaged business. Dominic Mantia, co-founder of X-Pro Elite Exterior, stated their immediate goal was to install temporary entry doors to facilitate the store's reopening. The Dayton Police Department has been contacted for information regarding any arrests made in connection with the event, as the situation remains under investigation.
