Cruise Ship Crewman Dies After Fall in Scotland

Following reports of a man overboard, an immediate response was launched on board, and the HM Coastguard was notified. The body of the crew member was subsequently discovered in the water near Corran Esplanade in Oban.
Police Scotland stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious and that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. The cruise line operating the Hebridean Princess expressed deep sadness and is supporting the relevant authorities and the deceased's next of kin.
In a separate incident earlier this year, a search was conducted for a guest who went overboard from a cruise ship in the Caribbean Sea.
