On Sunday, November 12th, 2025, two cousins were killed in a devastating accident on the Ara-Sasaram state highway near Tetariya Mor in Bhojpur district. The victims, Harsh Kumar and Sahil Kumar, both hailed from Udwantnagar village.
Harsh, the son of a sweet-maker named Sudama Prasad, and Sahil, the son of a grocery shop owner Krishna Prasad, had traveled to Ara earlier that day to fetch goods for their respective shops. As they were returning home, a speeding van struck their bike, crushing the two young men.
The tragic incident occurred under the Udwantnagar police station area. Authorities were immediately alerted, and the bodies were transported to Sadar Hospital Ara for post-mortem examination. Heartbroken family members gathered at the hospital, mourning the untimely loss of the two cousins.
This devastating accident has left the close-knit community of Udwantnagar in shock and grief. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and have vowed to take strict action against the driver responsible for this tragic loss of life.
