The boys, who were residents of KC Tanda, had left their homes to play but never returned. Their absence triggered immediate concern among family members who initiated a search before alerting the authorities.
Preliminary inquiries and local accounts indicated the children were last seen near the Maheshwara statue beside Kotwal Cheruvu. A large-scale search operation commenced immediately, involving villagers, expert swimmers, fire department personnel, and police. Despite extensive efforts using floodlights throughout Sunday night, the children could not be found. The search resumed on Monday morning, tragically leading to the recovery of both bodies from the lake.
