Tragically, Tibbetts lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that he lost control of his vehicle, resulting in a collision with a sign and several trees. His passing has deeply affected his colleagues and loved ones.
During the service, family members described Tibbetts as a God-fearing and determined young man whose presence was impactful. JFRD Chief Percy Golden emphasized Tibbetts' commitment to his profession, noting his goal-oriented drive beneath a fun-loving exterior. Outside of his firefighting career, Tibbetts had recently purchased his first home and was an avid outdoorsman and Alabama fan.
