A woman in her 60s has died following a serious road traffic collision in Co Clare. The incident, involving a single vehicle, took place on the R458 at Rathfolan, near Newmarket on Fergus, on Friday evening, just before 10:50 PM.
The driver, who was in her 60s, was transported to University Hospital Limerick with severe injuries. Sadly, she passed away on Tuesday evening.
An Garda Siochana confirmed they were called to the scene and are currently investigating the circumstances of the collision. The coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place. Authorities are appealing to any potential witnesses to come forward as their investigation continues.
