A tragic accident on Kanpur Road in Banthra claimed the life of a six-year-old boy and left five others injured on Thursday night. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM near the Hanuman Temple when a speeding car, traveling from Lucknow towards Kanpur, struck pedestrians. The vehicle first hit a parked motorcycle before hitting several individuals.
Among the injured were two women and two other children, who sustained injuries in the chaotic scene. Eyewitnesses reported that the car was traveling at a high speed. The driver allegedly accelerated in an attempt to flee when locals tried to intervene, leading to further collisions.
