Two third-year medical students tragically lost their lives and two others were injured in a severe car accident that occurred near the Karanodai flyover in Tiruvallur district. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, around 2:30 am.
The four students, pursuing their education at a private medical college in Manjankaranai, were on their way back to their residence near Ponneri. They had been out late on Friday to visit a friend in Red Hills.
Preliminary investigations suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle while approaching the flyover. The injured students were transported to a local hospital for immediate medical attention, while the bodies of the deceased were sent to the Govt Stanley Medical College Hospital in Chennai for postmortem examination.
