Unattended Candle Sparks $325K Blaze in Charlotte House

A fire, described as "heavy" by fire officials, erupted in a Charlotte home on Sylvania Avenue around 3 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th. The Charlotte Fire Department reported that the destructive blaze originated from an unattended candle left inside the residence. Thirty firefighters were dispatched to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control within 45 minutes.

The fire caused extensive damage, with an estimated cost of $325,000. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and one adult occupant received assistance from the Red Cross. Photos from the incident depicted the house engulfed in flames, showcasing the intensity of the fire that firefighters worked diligently to extinguish.
