Two villagers in Chandrapur district have died in separate tiger attacks occurring less than 12 hours apart. The recent fatalities underscore the intensifying human-wildlife conflict in the region.
On Saturday morning, Sunita Shamrao Bhoyar, 45, was attacked by a tiger while harvesting cotton in Somnath. The animal emerged from nearby bushes and mauled her, with witnesses raising an alarm forcing its retreat. Sadly, Bhoyar died at the scene.
