He was fortunately attended to by a team of British Transport Police officers and an off-duty nurse. They immediately began CPR and utilized a defibrillator, which successfully restarted his heart after a single shock.
Claude expressed profound gratitude to the first responders, stating he likely would not be alive without their quick and confident actions. Sgt Ben Hawkins, one of the officers, described the event as remarkable, emphasizing that early CPR and defibrillation were critical.
Months later, Claude has been reunited with his rescuers and is resolved to cherish his life, free from worry.
