Rohit Kumar, 41, and Bablu Kumar, 45, were en route home after visiting a relative when the driver lost control of the car. The incessant rain had rendered the road surface treacherous.
Sensing the imminent danger as the car veered towards the canal, both men swiftly exited the vehicle moments before it submerged. They were subsequently admitted to Tenughat Sub-Divisional Hospital, where their condition was reported as stable.
Authorities are working to retrieve the submerged vehicle. The incident highlights the hazards posed by the current weather conditions on local roadways.
