Calgary bid a solemn farewell to Pte. Aidan Goulding, one of four Canadian Armed Forces members lost in a recent tragedy. A motorcade carrying the 23-year-old's body proceeded through the city on Thursday, marked by a respectful tribute from Calgary Police Service, firefighters, and RCMP.
The fallen soldier tragically died when a fire erupted during a training exercise at CFB Wainwright on October 17th. Pte. Goulding's sacrifice, along with those of Sgt. Morgan Wong, Pte. Shaun Farrell, and Pte. Hayden Lykkemark, has deeply impacted the Canadian Armed Forces.
Pte. Goulding's body was escorted from the medical examiner's office to a local funeral home. He is set to be laid to rest in British Columbia. Earlier this week, Sgt. Wong was honored at a funeral service in Edmonton, underscoring the widespread grief.
