A three-year-old boy named Noah Woods has been found deceased in a pond, following a large-scale search operation. Noah went missing on the afternoon of September 15th after becoming separated from a relative at a playground in Merriam Close, Brantham, Suffolk.
He was discovered by Met police divers in Decoy Pond on the afternoon of September 16th. The depth of the water where he was found was estimated at 1.8 metres.
An inquest into Noah's death was opened and adjourned in Ipswich on Friday. Police confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious.
The relative with Noah provided a statement to police, detailing how Noah left the play area through a gap in the fence and an open gate, heading towards the pond.
Noah, who was described as non-verbal, partially deaf, and undergoing an assessment for autism, will be deeply missed by his parents, who have paid heartfelt tributes to their son.
