Two individuals, identified as 30-year-old Rizwan and his 28-year-old friend Sajjiya, lost their lives in a fatal high-speed collision late on Friday night. The incident occurred on Bengaluru's Satellite Town Ring Road when a Mercedes-Benz vehicle they were traveling in struck a road divider near the Hoskote bridge.
According to police reports, Rizwan was driving a client's Mercedes-Benz and was returning from Devanahalli with Sajjiya after dinner. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at a very high speed when Rizwan allegedly lost control, leading to the severe crash.
The impact was so intense that the car was mangled, and Rizwan was ejected through the sunroof, falling into a drain. Sajjiya was thrown onto the road. Search teams later recovered Rizwan's body from the drain after an extensive operation.
Investigators are currently examining CCTV footage and other evidence to piece together the exact sequence of events leading to the accident. Overspeeding is considered a primary factor in this tragic incident.
