Eleisha Skinner, a 21-year-old student at Buckinghamshire New University, tragically died following a severe accident outside her accommodation on January 8. While unloading belongings, her car rolled backward, trapping her against a wall. Despite emergency services arriving quickly and her own efforts to call for help, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
Skinner, who was crowned Miss Faversham in 2022, was a popular figure in her hometown. Her funeral saw over 200 mourners gather to pay tribute to her "beautiful, kind and selfless" nature. She will be posthumously awarded a BSc with honours in social work.
Her family expressed profound devastation at the loss of their "precious girl," remembering her as a "kind, selfless, passionate young woman" with a "heart of gold." A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated in her memory to support the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, which provided critical care at the scene.
