Aussie Girl Killed in Pakistani Police Shooting

A tragic incident in Pakistan's Punjab province has resulted in the death of a nine-year-old Australian girl and serious injuries to two other family members. The family, visiting relatives, was targeted by police gunfire after being robbed in their rental car.

Reports indicate that police mistook the family's vehicle for that of the robbers when it drove away from the scene of the crime. Officers then opened fire indiscriminately on the car. The Australian girl was pronounced dead at the hospital, while her father and older brother required urgent medical attention for their serious injuries.
