Nearly 6.55 lakh people are still grappling with the aftermath of the deluge. Sivasagar district is the most severely impacted, with approximately 2.9 lakh residents affected.
The administration is operating 274 relief camps, providing shelter and aid to 18,902 displaced individuals. The floods have submerged 810 villages and damaged over 34,970 hectares of crop areas.
Infrastructure, including river embankments, roads, and bridges, has sustained damage. The Dikhou and Dhansiri rivers continue to flow above danger levels in Sivasagar and Numaligarh.
