A devastating road accident occurred near Ajnala in Amritsar on Saturday, claiming the lives of Lovepreet Singh, aged 22, and his aunt, Lakhwinder Kaur, aged 42. The pair were on a motorcycle when a speeding Mahindra Bolero collided with them, tragically throwing them from the bike. Both sustained severe head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place as Lovepreet was taking his aunt to Ajnala to purchase medicine. The force of the collision was so severe that the victims were flung several feet from their motorcycle. Authorities at the Ajnala police station are actively investigating the fatal crash.
Investigators have managed to identify the hit-and-run vehicle, a Mahindra Bolero registered in Jalandhar, thanks to clear CCTV footage from the accident site. Police have confirmed that a team will be dispatched to arrest the driver, who fled the scene immediately after the collision.
