Acrobat's Fall Fatal: Neck Broken in Zoo Stunt
4 Dec
Summary
- An acrobat suffered a fatal neck injury during a backflip at Chester Zoo.
- The performer died months later in hospital after contracting pneumonia.
- An inquest into the acrobat's death has been opened and will resume in May 2026.

A performer's life tragically ended months after a devastating fall during a zoo performance. Muharami Jamadi Ramadhani, 42, sustained a broken neck during a backflip on August 6 at Chester Zoo. The incident occurred during a performance, leading to his immediate hospitalization.
Ramadhani was treated at Leeds General Infirmary, but his condition worsened. He developed pneumonia, and tragically passed away on November 25. This period marked a significant downturn following the initial injury, leading to his untimely death.
An inquest into Ramadhani's death, born in Tanzania and from Bradford, commenced yesterday. The Cheshire Coroner's Court opened the hearing due to concerns about an unnatural cause of death. A full inquiry is slated for May 5, 2026, to determine the circumstances surrounding his passing.
