A lane closure was implemented on the A14 in Suffolk following a severe pothole incident that resulted in damage to several vehicles. The westbound carriageway between junction 46, near Beyton and Thurston, and junction 45, near Rougham, became hazardous.
At approximately 07:30 GMT, Suffolk Police responded to reports of the pothole. Officers confirmed that numerous vehicles had sustained damage to their tyres, and several lorries were compelled to stop in a nearby layby due to the road defect.
