The families of Letitia Cuney and Cheryl Pierre have released heartfelt tributes following their deaths in a devastating road crash on the A10 in Cambridgeshire. The collision, involving a silver BMW and a white Nissan Qashqai, took place near Chittering on December 28th, 2025.
Cuney, 53, a teacher from Ecton, was fatally injured while driving the Nissan. She passed away in Addenbrooke's Hospital on December 30th, 2025. Cuney was lauded by pupils as the "funniest teacher" and by her family as "energetic, powerful, and kind-hearted."
Pierre, 47, a passenger in Cuney's vehicle and a resident of Northampton, died on January 1st, 2026, also at Addenbrooke's Hospital. Her family remembered her as "completely selfless" with a "massive heart," noting her "amazing, colourful fashion" and "positive energy." The driver of the BMW, a 54-year-old man from Haddenham, Cambridgeshire, was arrested on suspicion of multiple offenses.
