In Nepal's flood-ravaged regions, 83 individuals from Tamil Nadu and three from Puducherry are currently missing. These pilgrims were part of a larger group of 106 who had journeyed to Nepal. The Tamil Nadu government is actively working with central authorities to locate and rescue the missing persons.
Efforts are underway to trace the remaining 86 missing pilgrims, with close collaboration between the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Nepal. A convoy of three buses was traveling when one vehicle was hit by floodwaters, resulting in the rescue of all 20 passengers on board. Four ministers have been appointed to coordinate rescue and relief operations in New Delhi.
