A 3.4-magnitude earthquake rattled the Riverside-San Bernardino county line on Wednesday evening, with subsequent smaller aftershocks felt in the region. The primary seismic event occurred around 8:48 p.m., originating approximately two and a half miles southeast of Loma Linda. This earthquake struck at a depth of about 10 miles.
Shortly after the initial tremor, the United States Geological Survey reported a 2.7-magnitude aftershock in the same area. This secondary event occurred at a depth of just under nine and a half miles. Based on USGS data, the shaking from both the main earthquake and its aftershocks was perceptible to people throughout the Inland Empire.
