A devastating road accident claimed the lives of three farm laborers and left eleven injured early on Monday morning. The incident occurred at Indaram village on the Mancherial-Hyderabad state highway when a jeep transporting migrant workers collided with a stationary lorry.
All twenty-three farm laborers aboard the jeep were reportedly from Maharashtra and were traveling to Karimnagar district to undertake paddy planting. The injured were rushed to the government general hospital in Mancherial, while the bodies of those who perished were preserved for identification.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with initial suspicions pointing towards rash and negligent driving by the jeep's operator. Farmers often hire laborers from neighboring states like Maharashtra for agricultural tasks due to their efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
