Three young men lost their lives and another sustained critical injuries following a severe collision between a scooter and a stationary truck in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district. The tragic incident unfolded on Saturday evening around 7 pm in Musabani when the scooter, carrying four individuals, impacted a parked Tata Hyva truck. The truck had reportedly broken down and was left on the roadside without any warning signals.
All four occupants of the scooter suffered serious injuries and were promptly transported to a local hospital. Tragically, three of them, identified as Rohit Karmakar (25), his brother Samir Karmakar (16), and Raj Gop (18), were later declared deceased by medical professionals. The fourth rider, Rahul Karmakar (32), is in critical condition and has been transferred for advanced medical care.
Preliminary investigations suggest the Hyva truck was carrying tailings from an HCL mine when it broke down. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, with a focus on the alleged absence of safety measures on the parked truck, which may have contributed to this fatal accident.
