A devastating accident occurred late Sunday night on NH 325 in Jalore, India, when a private bus traveling from Sanchore to Karauli overturned after striking a tree. Three passengers, including an elderly couple, lost their lives, and more than a dozen others sustained serious injuries. The couple, Faglu Ram Bishnoi, 75, and Hau Devi, 65, were en route to visit their son in Ajmer. The third victim, Amritlal from Bharatpur, died during treatment.
Eyewitnesses and passengers have accused the bus driver of being intoxicated and driving at high speed. Reports suggest the driver released the steering wheel to apply pan masala shortly before the crash, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn. Passengers were forced to break windows to escape the wreckage. The deceased suffered horrific injuries, with Hau Devi being decapitated and Faglu Ram losing a leg.
