21 Injured as Sleeper Bus Plunges into Ditch in Kanpur

On the night of November 3, 2025, a sleeper bus traveling from Kanpur to Surat met with a devastating accident near Usargaon in Jalaun district. The bus, carrying around 40 passengers, fell into a ditch after the driver lost control while trying to overtake another vehicle at high speed on the Kanpur-Jhansi highway.
The incident left around 21 passengers injured, some of them critically. The injured include Aman Babu, Ankush, Akash, Satish Babu, Sunita, Pushpendra, Ravindra, Udal, Ajay Singh, Bilapur Nagina, Muskan, Khushnaseeb, Deependra Kumar, Ramkishor, Jeetu, Sachin, Dharmendra, Kartik, Ramshri, Sipahilal, and Dharmendra.
Upon receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the scene and rescued the trapped passengers. All the injured were then transported to the medical college, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident, which appears to have been triggered by the driver's reckless attempt to overtake another vehicle at high speed.
